Sea level rise is one of the severe impacts of climate change. Singapore’s geography, being a low-lying island is especially vulnerable to it. The country has been preparing adaptation measures to combat this threat through the provision of an initial S$ 5 Billion Coastal and Flood protection fund. A portion of this will be dedicated to research in seeking out urban solutions and sustainability with focus on renewable energy and cooling.
