Motorbikes are the main means of transportation in Vietnam. An estimate of 11 million motorcycles will occupy Hanoi’s streets by 2025. These vehicles are mostly powered by fossil fuels which contribute to the worsening air pollution in the country. VinFast, their first ever local car manufacturer designed an affordable and environmentally friendly electric motorbike. Charging stations at key areas and readily available technicians for stranded riders are some of the provisions being offered to encourage the Vietnamese to switch to EVs. .
